30% Of Pornhub's Traffic From India Consists Of Women Who Are Watching More Lesbian Videos

Let's dive into more data to unlock the online porn viewing habits of women in India.
Not only do we have a fairly decent ratio of the female to male audience for porn in India (at least according to the abysmal global average), we also contribute the fourth-highest share of women to the world’s total number. Another question we had was just how the sexuality of women has changed over the last few years. So we dug through Pornhub’s last four years of analytics reports and came up with these few learnings.
More Indian women are getting off online
Over the last four years, Indian women have been steadily warming to the idea of using Pornhub as masturbatory material. In 2014, we were eighth on the list of countries contributing female viewers to Pornhub. Just 26 percent of our horny viewers were clicking the mouse instead of "polishing the knob" so to speak.
Fast forward to 2017, and we have the fourth-highest share of women in front of their laptops with hands down their pants, 30 percent. And yes, that's a good thing. After all, watching porn is a very natural thing, and everyone should have the freedom to do it.
Women may like lesbians more than men do
For the last four years at least the search term “Lesbian” has been at the top of the list for women, whereas men generally favour the “MILF” search term. They also favour multiple versions of the search like “lesbians scissoring”, “guy eating girl out”, or “tribbing”. On top of that, while the male gaze tends to shift across genres with time, women have held fast to the Lesbian category for years, keeping it their most viewed category for the last four years.
But they’re not necessarily partial to one gender. Women are also more likely to search for gay (male) porn than men. Though women make up about 26 percent of the entire viewership of Pornhub, they’re also comprise 37 percent of those watching guy on guy action.
Women have a wider sexual appetite than you think
Another of Pornhub’s statistics is what kind of search terms women tend to look for more than men. The obvious entry here over the last few years is good old cunnilingus. Pay attention men, women want you to get your head in the game, literally.
However, another intriguing aspect is that women are also more likely than men to peruse Pornhub for things like “rough sex”, “threesome”, and “gangbang”. Again, that’s not a blanket statement for all women, but it’s a pretty good indicator that women have a variety of sexual fantasies, even if they don’t let you in on them.
