60% of Jobseekers Feel Uncomfortable with Video Interviews
Six out of 10 jobseekers would feel uncomfortable being interviewed by video call or artificial intelligence-assisted programs, a poll suggests.

In the poll of just one 1,683 jobseekers by job search portal Saramin early this month, 57.4 percent said they feel uncomfortable with virtual interviews of this kind.

Asked why, 59.5 percent of these said they don't know how to plan such interviews, while 40.7 percent said they do not know how to promote themselves on a screen. And 35 percent said that it is difficult to grasp the nuances of what the interviewer is asking. Some 32.4 percent were suspicious of the assessment methods.

Yet 62.7 percent of respondents said video or AI interviews are okay in principle. Among those, 64.7 percent cited overall flexibility of time and place.

Only 13.1 percent of jobseekers said they have experienced video interviews or AI-assisted interviews.

Respondents were allowed to give multiple answers.
