AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured in India to reach in Canada on Wednesday
27 February, 2021
A shipment of 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University and created by the Serum Institute of India is defined to arrive in Canada on Wednesday, the principle executive of native partner Verity Pharmaceuticals said on Friday (Feb 26).
Verity's leader, Howard Glase, said the shipment is not portion of Canada's allocation from the COVAX system, designed to ensure equitable vaccine distribution. Canada includes a separate procurement manage AstraZeneca, which qualified the vaccine to Serum Institute, the world's major vaccine producer.
