Banks to Open 1 Hour Late on College Exam Day

Banks and public offices across Korea will open an hour later at 10 a.m. this Thursday to clear traffic for the nationwide college entrance exam.

The aim is to ease the rush-hour traffic for students who need to go to their designated schools to take the exam. The exam is scheduled from 8:40 a.m. to 5:40 p.m.

The Korea Exchange will open and close an hour later than usual -- from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
