Bayern Chief Confirms €42m Signing

Bayern Munich's chief Hasan Salihamidžić has confirmed the signing of €42million participant, who was simply also chased by Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Highly regarded RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano will maintain the colours of the European champions immediately after Salihamidžić's confirmation following months of talks with the player and agent.
The Bavarians have been quite vocal within their pursuit of the French defender in recent month even though the Premier League giants were all reportedly keen, Bayern are certain to get their man because they can pay his €42.5 million release clause.
"I can do that, and we are very happy about any of it at FC Bayern," the Bayern chief told BILD.
"We had very great, intensive and specialist discussions with Dayot and his advisor Volker Struth for most a few months. We knew that we had very strong competition.
"Upamecano is a young player, 22, whose qualities have previously developed extraordinarily. I was often convinced that people had presented an excellent concept.
"We presented him with this vision of his profession at Bayern. During the past week in Doha I had even more talks with everyone involved. Towards the end of an extended process, the players, family group and management were convinced that FC Bayern was the proper club.
"Dayot Upamecano will play for Bayern for another five years."
The 22-year-old has recently notched up over 100 appearances for Leipzig since joining the club for Red Bull Salzburg in 2017.
