Defending champions Bayern Munich reclaimed second spot in the Bundesliga after thrashing Schalke 5-0 on Saturday evening.

Bayern had a flying start as Lewandowski blasted home the opener in the sixth minute after Perisic pounced on a loose ball from Muller's cross.
Rabbi Matondo almost found the equaliser for Schalke three minutes later after he won possession on the edge of the box and unleashed a looping strike that took a deflection and sailed onto crossbar.
Muller found the back of the net for the hosts in the 18th minute after deflecting Leon Goretzka's volley but the goal was disallowed for offside while Lewandowski was also denied the second goal with seven minutes left of the first stanza by the offside flag.
However, Muller eventually secured the second goal for Hans-Dieter Flick's charges in first-half stoppage after turning home Goretzka's flick-on on in the six-yard area.

Thiago Alcantara gave Bayern a commanding 4-0 lead just before the hour-mark with a simple tap-in after Lewandowski did all the hard work to dribble his way clear on the left side.
Serge Gnabry got the fifth goal for Flick's men in the last minute with a strike from the edge of the to complet the rout for the defending champions.
