Real Madrid leapfrogged Barcelona into second put on the LaLiga table after defeating Valencia 2-0 on Sunday evening.
Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane made two improvements as he was bolstered by the go back of Dani Carvajal and Toni Kroos, with Marcelo and Marvin Park building way.
Casemiro came very near offering Madrid the lead found in the tenth minute with a minimal swerving strike from collection that almost got away from goalkeeper Jaume Domenech but he made a last-ditch save along with his outstretched leg.
Karim Benzema eventually opened the scoring for the hosts several minutes later with a good curling hit from the border of the field beyond the reach of Domenech and into the far post.
While keeping Valencia in their own half, the hosts managed to put in a second goal thanks to Kroos' first-time low hit into the bottom corner from Lucas Vazquez's cut-back right before the break.
Valencia were more great from the break as Maximiliano Gomez came close to pulling an objective back seven minutes inside the second stanza with a pile-driver from the dge of the box that was first parried towards the most notable corner by shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois.
Ferland Mendy thought he previously added a third Los Blancos in the 62nd minute after slotting a right-footed shot into the bottom corner from Vinicius Junior's cut-back inside box but the goal was chalked off for offside by the Video recording Assistant Referee (VAR).
