Body Of Missing Footballer Found In River

In tragic news appearing out of South America, your body of a lacking footballer who had previously played in Spain has reportedly been found.
In line with the Daily Star, Franco Acosta went missing in Saturday afternoon after he tried out to cross a river in his native nation Uruguay, with his brother producing authorities aware in the near future afterwards that he previously disappeared.
The 25-year-old's body has since been found, two days later.
It is claimed the ex-Villarreal player, who left Spain due to a free agent in 2020, was entirely on Monday morning around where he was last observed in the Pando River found in Montevideo.
Acosta joined Villarreal found in 2015 from boyhood club Atletico Fenix, prior to going out on several loan spells to clubs found in Spain and Uruguay.
The striker didn't try to make a senior appearance for the Spanish club, but did represent its B team on 56 occasions.
The forward also played for his national team at U17 and U20 level, scoring 18 goals in 29 matches.
The Uruguayan FA released a statement following the sad news, saying: "We sincerely regret the death of the Uruguayan footballer Franco Acosta, who was simply a member of the national team's youth squads.
"Our condolences to his family members, friends and teammates."
