Cabin Pressure Problem Causes Panic on Jin Air Flight
Passengers had to put on their oxygen masks due to a problem with cabin pressure control on a Jin Air plane from Incheon to Sapporo on New Year's Day.

A warning light flickered to indicate that something was wrong with the cabin pressure on Jin Air flight LJ231 carrying 181 passengers at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday, the carrier said Wednesday.

The pilot let the oxygen masks drop down according to the manual, and they put them on for about 10 minutes. The plane landed safely at New Chitose Airport in Sapporo around 10:50 a.m.

Some passengers complained of headache and dizziness.

A Jin Air staffer said, "Two passengers said they were unwell, but not so bad as to go to hospital. The others said they had no problems."

The airline is trying to find out what was the problem and sent a substitute aircraft for the return flight.
