Candiani collaborates with Boyish Jeans
16 March, 2021
Candiani Denim has unveiled a set of jeans made out of the world’s first compostable stretch denim in an exclusive collaboration with Californian company, Boyish Jeans.
Women’s denim brand Boyish Skinny jeans, known for its determination to ethical and sustainable practices, has teamed up with Candiani to highlight the Italian denim producer’s sustainable improvements and manufacturing.
They’ve produced the ‘Mikey Jean’ - a high-waisted, wide-leg design with a natural hem finishing in the ankle that is true to Boyish’s signature vintage silhouette style with a contemporary twist.
The jeans have already been made using Candiani’s exclusive denim fabric made up of organic and natural cotton, Refibra (recycled cellulosic fibres), and the company’s latest patented technology, Coreva the world’s first 100 percent compostable stretch denim.
Furthermore, the ‘Mikey Jean’ fabric has also been dyed with Candiani’s Indigo Juice Technology and sized with Kitotex, an all natural polymer that replaces typical chemicals, eliminates micro-plastics, and assures a significant decrease in water and energy found in the production process.
The Mikey Jean by Boyish Denim jeans x Candiani Denim Store is available in limited edition at Candiani Denim Retailer in Milan and on its website, priced 195 euros.
