Chris Pine-starrer 'Violence of Actions' bagged by film company
"Violence of Actions," a criminal offense thriller starring Chris Pine, has got landed at STX Films. The studio previously nabbed foreign rights to the motion picture and will nowadays distribute in the U.S. as well. Directed by Tarik Saleh, "Violence of Actions" centers on James Harper (Pine), a guy who joins a paramilitary organization to support his family members after he gets involuntarily discharged from the Marines.

He travels to Berlin with his team about a black ops objective to research a mysterious threat, but he suddenly finds himself by itself and hunted across Europe. As he fights to stay alive long enough to go back home, he seeks to uncover the accurate motives of these who betrayed him.Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilms Motion Picture Group, called Pine's performance "unforgettable."

"We're incredibly impressed by what we've seen up to now of 'Violence of Action,'" Fogelson said. "Chris gives the sort of unforgettable performance which will resonate with audiences almost everywhere. It's an increased action film that has actual franchise potential and we will be tremendously excited to become working with Chris, Tarik, and the teams at Thunder Road and 30West."JP Davis wrote the screenplay. The cast also contains Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, Fares Fares, Nina Hoss and Amira Casar. Thunder Road Film executives Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee dished up as producers on "Violence of Actions," which was fully financed by 30West.

Pine executive produced the film with Jonathan Fuhrman, Tom Lassally, and Josh Bratman. 30West's Dan Friedkin, Micah Green, and Dan Steinman, together with Esther Hornstein of Thunder Road Films, as well served as executive manufacturers. CAA Media Financing and 30West co-repped the U.S. rights.STXfilms' recent slate includes "Hustlers," "Undesirable Mothers," "The Upside" and "The Gentlemen." Through the pandemic, the company unveiled Gerard Butler's "Greenland" and Michael Bay's sci-fi thriller "Songbird" starring KJ Apa on top quality video-on-demand.
