Christian Bale debuts bald look in Thor 4

Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale, most widely known for his role as Batman in the 'Dark Knight' series is preparing to embrace his dark side for the upcoming Marvel film 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. The actor, who'll be crossing over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the supervillain Gorr the God Butcher, debuted his new bald search for the film starring Chris Hemsworth in the lead.

Although much about his role is unclear, the type, Gorr is said to be among the deadliest Marvel villains and even one who could put Thanos to shame. In line with the comic books, he is responsible for destroying worlds and "feasting" on Gods, if not turning them into his slaves. Rumours are rife that Bale's role in the film may not be considered a "one-off", suggesting that he could be the next bringer of doom.

Bale's confirmation as the supervillain came late November 2020, months after reports first stated that the actor was approached to star in the Marvel superhero film. In the last months, the cast is continuing to grow, with many new and some other familiar faces returning to the silver screen. Hemsworth will return as the God of Thunder for his fourth solo outing. Joining him will be Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster aka Lady Thor, along with the cast of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. Also seen on the sets was Matt Damon, Melissa McCarthy, Luke Hemsworth, among others.

'Thor: Love and thunder' that's now slated for a May 6, 2022 release, is a follow-up to 2017's 'Thor: Ragnarok', but will reportedly be set post the events of 'Avengers: Endgame'. It'll see Taika Waititi time for the director's seat and in addition reprising the role of his comical character, Korg.
