Colombia extends coronavirus lockdown steps until July 15

Colombia's lockdown to curb the pass on of coronavirus might continue until July 15, President Ivan Duque said found in a good nightly broadcast on Tuesday.
The Andean country has reported more than 73,500 cases of coronavirus and 2,404 deaths.
"The current conditions of obligatory isolation, where we happen to be returning to efficiency and moving towards the re-starting of businesses, will continue because they are today until July 15," Duque said.
Duque first declared a good national quarantine to control the pass on of the brand new coronavirus in past due March. While certain limitations have been calm, the quarantine was because of lift on July 1.
The government last month gave localized mayors discretion over reopening businesses such as hairdressers and barbers, along with museums and libraries.
In municipalities that have not seen coronavirus infections, pilot programs will start to check the reopening of more sectors, Duque said.
"We will commence to pilot the reopening of restaurants and attending spiritual worship," he said.
Currently restaurants are only permitted to serve takeaway meals.
Latin America's fourth-largest market has been battered by the methods taken to slow the pass on of coronavirus and a slump in essential oil prices. Crude is among the country's best exports and resources of foreign exchange.
The federal government expects the economy to contract by 5.5% this year. The country offers suspended its fiscal deficit restrictions for 2020 and 2021 and issued billions in bonds as unemployment rises and businesses close through the quarantine.
All worldwide flights have been suspended until at least Aug. 31. The government has explained they will probably resume in September.
