Courteney Cox spotted for the first time after Matthew Perry's death
Courteney Cox has appeared in public for the first time since the news of Matthew Perry's death broke around the world, as she headed out to dinner with some of her friends and her boyfriend.

Cox, known for portraying Monica Geller on the hit TV show 'Friends' between 1994-2004, headed out to Nobu Malibu on Monday night but she appeared downcast as she got into a vehicle to depart from the joint.

Her ex-friend's colleague was found dead on October 28 after appearing to have drowned in his hot tub at his California home with medical teams being unable to save him after his assistant declared a 'water emergency'. Police are investigating the death, although they didn't find any indication of foul play nor did they find narcotics on the property. The only drugs present were anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication that was prescribed.

An initial test further indicated that there is no indication of fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system when he died. He had been playing pickleball just hours prior and had been described as happy with life by those close to him.

Friends cast reacts
It left people stunned, least of all the cast of the show he worked on as the wise-cracking Chandler Bing, who went on to be a fan favorite. He enjoyed a close professional relationship with Cox due to their characters being married in the storyline of the show.

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," a statement released to CNN by Matt Leblanc, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Cox.

"There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
