Cristiano Ronaldo played a starring role as Manchester United got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started Edinson Cavani in the attack alongside Cristiano Ronaldo while Raphael Varane returned from injury and joined a three-man defence.
The early stages of the first half proved to be lively affair in North London, but clear-cut chances were few and far between in the opening 20 minutes.
Spurs had the ball in the back of the net on 28 minutes when Christian Romero nodded home at the far post from a corner, but celebrations were cut short after the Argentine was flagged offside.
Hugo Lloris was called into action five minutes later, with the French shot-stopper diving to his right to keep out Fred's powerful effort from distance.
There was nothing Lloris could do on 39 minutes when Bruno Fernandes lofted the ball to Ronaldo, who sent fine first-time volley into the back of the net to send his leading into the break.
Spurs were booed off by the supporters at the break, but they nearly pulled themselves level two minutes into the second half when Heun-min Son, who curled one just wide of the upright.
However, it was United who got the second goal as Ronaldo turned provider to pick out Cavani who took one touch before lobbing the on-rushing Lloris just after the hour mark.
While Spurs were unable managed to carve out a couple half chances, United went on to seal the win in the 87th minute as two substitutes combined with Nemanja Matic playing in Marcus Rashford, who slotted into the far corner.
