Dortmund Make Worrying Admission About Haaland
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has made a worrying admission about the future of Erling Haaland, who has been linked with some of Europe's biggest teams.

Haaland is expected to be at the middle of a bidding war next season as he stock continues to rise after taking his tally to 11 goals in eight appearances in the 2021/22 campaign this past weekend.

The striker's agent was reportedly in talks with both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona last year, while Manchester City and Manchester United have also been mooted as possible suitors.

The Dortmund CEO has now admitted it will be tough to keep their star striker ahead of next year's transfer window.

"Of course, it will be difficult. I am not saying, however, that it is completely out of the question," Watzke told Welt am Sonntag.

"We'll do everything we can to keep our top players loyal to us in the future."

Watzke did add that the Bundesliga outfit are confident of finding a suitable replacement for the Norwegian, who has scored 68 goals in just 67 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

"We have to have the self-confidence to say we'll find a new top striker again."
