Ediya Coffee Opens 3,000th Store

Ediya Coffee has opened its 3,000th store, nearly two decades after it started business in 2001. The café chain on Wednesday said the 3,000th store opened in Daejeon.
Since its launch with a shop near Chungang University in Seoul, Ediya has expanded quickly thanks to its relatively low prices.
"Other than the Paris Baguette bakery chain, Ediya is the only chain that operates 3,000 stores in the food and beverage market. The mutually beneficial partnership with our franchise stores has allowed us to maintain the market's lowest rate of closure in the 1 percent range," an Ediya spokesman said.
Ediya plans to open its 3,038th store by the end of this year.
