You can now check in for your Emirates flight in Ajman
As travel restrictions and Covid-19 measures ease in many destinations around the world, Emirates is hoping to make travel easier for passengers from the northern emirate of Ajman.

The Dubai airline has opened a new city check-in facility at Ajman Central Bus Terminal, Emirates's first remote facility outside of Dubai.

Travellers can check in at the facility, which is operating in partnership with the Ajman Transport Authority, which will schedule new bus timings to coincide with Emirates's peak travel times.

Any passengers in Ajman preparing to travel with Emirates can now check in for flights and verify Covid-19 related medical records for the journey while in the northern emirate. After receiving their boarding passes, travellers can hop aboard a bus direct to Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, a journey that takes about 45 minutes depending on traffic. There, passengers can drop their bags then proceed directly to immigration and security.

Ajman bag-drop services coming soon
In a few weeks, Emirates will upgrade the service to allow travellers to drop their bags directly at the Ajman facility, leaving them baggage-free for the remainder of their onwards journey.

Open 24 hours a day, the facility has four manned counters and two self-service kiosks. These can be used for a contactless journey and allow travellers to check in, collect boarding passes, choose or change seats and update passport information.

Buses from the facility will coincide with Emirates's peak times for flights, including early morning services and late night departures.

“Our latest initiative in Ajman, in partnership with the Ajman Transport Authority, will deliver a travel experience that our customers from Ajman and the Northern Emirates can truly look forward to, giving them more control over their journey to enjoy the rest of the retail, leisure and Emirates lounge facilities at the airport before they board their flight” said Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior Vice President Emirates Airport Services.

The service is the latest remote check-in facility for the airline with similar offerings at Dubai Harbour and Port Rashid, aimed at cruise passengers.

Travellers flying Emirates can also book the airline’s home check-in service from anywhere in Dubai, allowing them to check in and have their luggage collected from their home or hotel.
