State-Possessed Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir said he required akhlak (morals) to be the ministry’s core value amid a rising number of legal cases within some SOEs. The ministry as well launched a new emblem on Wednesday, citing that the brand new core benefit and logo were section of the ministry’s bureaucratic reform.

“Akhlak is important to have as a main worth because there are 53 legal conditions against a few of our state-owned enterprises and we do not want even more cases,” he said found in a good broadcast keynote speech. “This transformation is not only lip service.”

A few of the country’s state-owned enterprises have been around in the spotlight for graft instances and lawsuits.

Just lately, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained PT Dirgantara Indonesia's former president director and former commerce director as suspects within an aircraft developing graft case. Meanwhile, state-owned insurer Jiwasraya possesses been investigated for allegedly mismanaging Rp 16 trillion in investment.

Erick went on to state that the SOE Ministry was first also doubling straight down on efficiency and great corporate governance by slimming down clusters and reshuffling staff members.

Previously, the minister slashed the quantity of SOE organization clusters to 14 from 27. He as well shuffled the PLN board of directors together with exchanging PT KAI's president director within his intend to restructure major state companies.
