Fewer Korean Firms on Forbes' List of World's Best Employers This Year
22 October, 2018
The number of Korean companies on the World's Best Employers list has fallen by half this year.
Nine Korean companies were included among 500 global giants in business magazine Forbes' annual list released on Sunday, down from 18 last year. Samsung was the only Korean company to make the top 100, ranking 76th.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, ranked No. 1, followed by Microsoft, Apple, Walt Disney and Amazon.
The list included 185 U.S. companies -- including all of the top five -- and 80 from China and Hong Kong.
It is based on evaluations of corporate image, working conditions and diversity at 2,000 companies around the world.
