Flights from London to Resume Next Week
Direct flights between Incheon and London resume on, may 7 after substantial progress in the U.K.'s coronavirus vaccination drive.

The federal government on Monday made a decision to lift the ban it has imposed on flights from London since Dec. 23 as the U.K. variant emerged.

The first direct fight will be an Asiana Airlines' flight from Heathrow Airport to Incheon on, may 9. Asiana is likely to fly from London almost every other Sunday and Korean Air almost every other Saturday.

They need to reserve 90 percent of seats for Korean nationals and keep their seat occupancy below 60 percent.

The daily number of new infections in the U.K. reached 70,000 in early January but fell for some 1,700 on Sunday. More than half of the British population have already been vaccinated.
