Flights to Wuhan Resume
Flights from Incheon to the Chinese city of Wuhan, an early epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic, resume Wedneday.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on Tuesday authorized T'way Air to resume the flights. The Korean budget carrier obtained a quarantine certificate from the Hubei provincial government and flight approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Monday.

The flights will be the first in eight months since Wuhan was locked down in January.

A ministry official said, "We've received a whole lot of demand for resumption of flights to and from Wuhan, where many Koreans do business and from where many Chinese businesspeople visit Korea."

"For as soon as there is only going to be one return flight weekly," T'way said.
