01 March, 2021
Bayer Leverkusen 1-2 Freiburg
Bayer Leverkusen's top-four expectations suffered a good blow after 2-1 defeat to Freiburg on home soil.
After the initially half ended goalless, the visitors raced in to the lead on 50 a few minutes through Ermedin Demirovic's fourth group goal of the growing season.
The lead was doubled 11 minutes after when Lucas Holer bagged his third of the campaign by firing past debutant Lucas Grill.
Leon Bailey did draw a goal back again for Leverkusen on 70 minutes, but Freiburg could actually hold for three items on the day and move up to eighth location while Leverkusen stay in sixth position.
Union Berlin 1-1 Hoffenheim
Union Berlin and Hoffenheim cannot be separated after playing to a 1-1 pull on Sunday afternoon.
Max Kruse netted the opener for the hosts from the penalty location before an own goal from Nico Schlotterbeck levelled matters for Hoffenheim.
Mainz 0-1 Augsburg
Augsburg extended their unbeaten go in the group to 3 matches with a 1-0 win apart to Mainz.
Andre Hahn's 25th minute strike was more than enough to seal the offer for Augsburg, who find themselves in 13th position.
