Hong Kong Disneyland to reopen on June 18 after coronavirus shutdown
Hong Kong's Disneyland theme recreation area said on Monday it will reopen on Thursday, June 18 to a lower life expectancy number of visitors and with improved health measures following the Covid-19 outbreak forced it to close in late January.

The Chinese-ruled city has reported only a handful of new cases recently, using its total so far standing at 1,110 infections and 4 deaths.

The majority of the park's shopping and eating locations will restart functions with "controlled capacity," while social distancing measures will be implemented in queues, restaurants and other facilities. Hotel services will also resume gradually.

Disinfection will be carried out more frequently and hand sanitisers might be produced available for visitors, who will be required to proceed through temperature screening, have on a nose and mouth mask and sign a wellbeing declaration.

Hong Kong's Disneyland vacation resort is owned by a joint venture, Hongkong International Topic Parks Ltd, of which the local government owns 53 per cent and Walt Disney Co retains the rest.

Ocean Recreation area, the city's other topic park, reopened in Saturday after lawmakers approved a HK$5.4 billion (Dh2.6b) bailout plan previous month to maintain it performing for another year.

While many restrictions related to the coronavirus have already been little by little lifted, Hong Kong's borders remain almost fully closed and group gatherings are limited by eight people.

Hong Kong's isn't the first Disney recreation area to announce its reopening. Shanghai's Disneyland re-opened in-may and in america, Walt Disney World has announced ideas to get started on a phased reopening from mid July.

Disney hopes to reopen Magic Kingdom and Creature Kingdom, pending approval from the governor of Florida, on July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15.

When the Disney parks reopen, all friends and employees will be asked to wear masks and undergo mandatory temperature checks. All parades, fireworks shows and other activities that create crowds will get temporarily suspended. The resort will also inspire contactless transactions and improve the amount of sanitising stations obtainable.
