How AI-Powered Tech Can Help Recruiters And Hiring Managers Find Candidates Quicker And More Efficiently
Recruiters spend an inordinate amount of time searching for candidates. It's a laborious task going through hundreds of résumés, trying to find the right match. It takes time and talent to write effective job descriptions to capture the attention of job seekers, while also adhering to new salary disclosure rules and other requirements.

Hiring managers want to hire the most appropriately skilled candidates as quickly as possible. However, one of the biggest complaints made by job seekers is that the hiring process takes too long. By leveraging AI to source the most suitable candidates more quickly, it will improve the process for all parties involved.

LinkedIn, the social media site owned by Microsoft, has leveraged artificial intelligence for years, matching job seekers with opportunities and making it easier to connect candidates with recruiters and talent acquisition professionals. The platform plans to unveil new ways to integrate generative AI to better help recruiters and job seekers succeed. The rollout will start with a limited number of LinkedIn members in the United States, India, the U.K., Canada and Australia on Wednesday—with plans of global implementation.

The software will serve as an assistant to recruiters, taking care of all the rote and repetitive tasks, like writing a job description. The tool will enable recruiters to spend more time preparing their candidates for interviews instead of painfully sifting through hundreds of unbefitting résumés. After all, if you are a contingency recruiter and you don’t succeed in the placement of a candidate, you don’t get paid.

The life of a headhunter is intensely competitive. They must race against time to find the best candidate before all of their competitors, or the company itself. They don’t have the luxury to “waste time” on menial tasks or people who aren’t a fit. The business model forces a recruiter to become intensely hyperfocused only on potential candidates that meet the job description demands. If search professionals don’t prioritize their time, they will lose out to the competition.
