Interviews Blight Jobseekers' View of Businesses
16 May, 2020
Six from every 10 jobseekers attended back from job interviews with a different image of the firms they put on than before.
Some 63.1 percent said their impression of companies has changed, according to a poll of just one 1,683 jobseekers by employment portal Job Korea.
Some 52.9 percent of them returned from interviews with a worse image of their putative employers, in comparison to 47.1 percent who had a much better image. The biggest determinant was the attitude interviewers took.
Respondents were permitted to give multiple answers.
Asked why they came away with an improved image, 54.4 percent cited interviewers' hospitable attitude and favorable response, accompanied by 45.8 percent who said they were impressed by company facilities and the working environment.
That was also the major reason for individuals who were left with a worse image, with 52.3 percent citing interviewers' inhospitable attitude and unfavorable response.
