'It's an extremely tough time; a whole lot of individuals are suffering'
Be it packing home-cooked food for the needy, feeding the strays, or raising awareness about the plight of 'waste warriors' in the hills - actor Fatima Sana Shaikh is extending support in whatever possible ways she may through the Covid-19 crisis. She urges that in circumstances like these, persons need to come out and unite for the bigger good.

Talking about how she's producing sure the help gets to the right people, the actor says, "There's a great NGO I've run into. You can pack meals (at home) and the NGO persons come and select the packets and deliver it to the persons in need. We're also feeding the stray pets around the region I stay." 

The actor can be harnessing the energy of social media to spread awareness about raising help for not just daily wage workers in the film industry, also for a group called Waste products Warriors, which is an NGO?for persons who tidy up the mountains in Dharamsala, Himachal. Shaikh notes how "the lockdown has produced their previously difficult life incredibly unbearable", and that the content garnered an excellent response, couldn't have produced her happier.

"It's an extremely tough time and a lot of folks are battling. During such times, we have to come together and carry out our bit," brings the actor, who's spending time with family, besides cooking and cleaning. And that is where she's drawing positivity from amid the lockdown, which just lately entered its third phase.

"As a family, we joke around and laugh a whole lot jointly, and that assists us stay great. We're bringing precautions and keeping everything sanitized," shares Shaikh, who's as well reading, watching a lot of films and getting back to her like for sketching.
