Japan hasn't made a decision to ease access ban, foreign minister says
Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said on Monday (Jun 15) it had been not true the federal government had made a decision to ease an entry ban, that was implemented to avoid the pass on of the brand new coronavirus, for people from certain countries.

The Yomiuri daily reported the other day that Japan may restart business trips to and from Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam and Thailand within the next few months.

The federal government is examining methods to ease entry bans, considering various factors comprehensively, and would ease restrictions in stages if it made a decision to do so, Motegi told parliament.

Motegi has agreed with his counterparts from Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand to discuses the probability of re-allowing happen to be those who need it, he said.
