Japan wellbeing ministry says it has approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine
Japan's health ministry stated on Sunday (Feb 14) that it provides officially accepted Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, the first such authorization in the country as it steps up initiatives to tame a third wave of infections in the run-up to the summertime Olympic Games.

The move have been widely expected after a government panel recommended approval on Friday, of which point Wellbeing Minister Norihisa Tamura said Japan would give its final approval immediately.
