Johnson hospitalized for exams after persistent coronavirus symptoms

British Primary Minister Boris Johnson was admitted to hospital for tests in Sunday after suffering persistent coronavirus symptoms 10 days after testing confident for the virus, though Downing Road said he remained responsible for the government.
Johnson, who was simply isolating in Downing Road after testing positive last month, even so had a high temperature therefore his doctors felt he is going to a great undisclosed hospital for checks in what the government said was a good “precautionary step.”
“On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has got tonight been admitted to hospital for tests,” his Downing Street office said in a statement. Johnson is likely to stay overnight.
“This is a precautionary step, as the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus ten days after testing positive for the virus,” the statement added.
Reports of his hospitalisation came only after one hour after Queen Elizabeth delivered a good rallying phone to the British people saying they might overcome the coronavirus outbreak if they stayed resolute.
Johnson, 55, on March 27 became the initial leader of a major power to announce that he previously tested positive. He proceeded to go into isolation at a flat in Downing Street and explained on Friday he was keeping there as he even now had a high temperature.
Downing Road underscored that this was not an emergency admission and that Johnson remained responsible for the federal government. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will chair the government’s emergency COVID-19 assembly on Monday, a origin said.
With only an unwieldy assortment of sometimes ancient and contradictory precedents to put into practice, there is no simple, formally-enshrined “Plan B” or succession scenario if the prime minister become incapacitated.
The pound briefly fell 0.4% vs the U.S. dollar to $1.2215 before trimming some losses to trade at $1.2230, down 0.3%.
Queen Elizabeth have been informed of Johnson’s admission to hospital, Buckingham Palace said. It made no further comment.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Johnson was a “strong man” as he passed on his nation’s best wishes.
“All Us citizens are praying for him,” Trump told a news flash conference. “He’s a pal of mine, he’s an excellent gentleman and an excellent leader, and you may already know he went to a healthcare facility today but I’m hopeful and sure that he’s going to be fine.”
