Kibsons to get started on selling UK supermarket Sainsbury’s products in Dubai
11 October, 2020
Kibsons will soon start stocking products from Sainsbury’s, a respected British supermarket.
As of Thursday, October 15, selected items will be available to get through Kibsons's online store. The brands have promised to focus on "delivering quality and value and with an unbeatable product range".
There should be 500 products available from the Sainsbury’s food range on the website, obtainable in the UAE for the first time.
The listed products include frozen goods, pizzas, bread, pastries, fruits, biscuits and savoury snacks. They will also offer long-life products, such as for example cooking sauces, canned items, soups, spreads, oils and vinegars and other pantry essentials.
"We are very happy to be introducing our great quality products to customers in the UAE via our partnership with Kibsons," said Richard Hodges, Sainsbury's head of sales. "Kibsons’ fresh food credentials and excellent customer support are famous through the entire UAE and we anticipate working closely with them."
"Sainsbury’s is synonymous with high quality and affordable food and we are thrilled to be partnering with them and offering our customers an additional increased shopping experience. We are really excited to launch a short 500 products, with more to follow in the near future," said Halima Jumani, director of Kibsons.
Kibsons is not the first UAE grocery brand to partner with UK supermarkets. Tesco products can be found at Choithrams supermarkets, while Spinneys stocks Waitrose goods, which are also offered by Waitrose standalone stores.
Food from Marks & Spencer is offered by M&S Food Halls across the UAE.
