Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Slavia Prague

Ten-man Borussia Dortmund sealed a place in the last 16 after edging Slavia Prague 2-1 at Signal Iduna Park.

Tomas Soucek gave Dortmund a scare after cancelling out Jadon Sancho's early opener just before the break but Julian Brandt clinched a place in the round of 16 with the winner just after the hour-mark and although Julian Weigl was sent off in the last 12 minutes.

Chelsea 2-1 Lille

Chelsea booked their spot in the last 16 with a 2-1 win over Lille courtesy at Stamford Bridge.

Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta settled nerves for the Blues with two first-half goals and although Loic Remy pulled a goal back for Lille with 12 minutes remaining, the hosts had enough mental strength to hold to secure second spot in Group H, while Lille ended bottom.

Ajax Amsterdam 0-1 Valencia

Last season semi-finalists Ajax Amsterdam were booted out of the UEFA Champions League after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to ten-man Valencia at Johan Cruijff Arena.

Rodrigo Moreno's first-half goal for Valencia proved to be the winner, as the Spanish side clinched the last 16 spot despite having Gabriel Paulista sent off late on. at the

Valencia finished second in Group H, one point ahead of third-placed Ajax, who had to settle for a place in the UEFA Europa League.

Benfica 3-0 Zenit Saint-Petersburg

Benfica fell a point short of the last 16 place despite thrashing ten-man Zenit Saint-Petersburg 3-0 in at Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Second-half goals from Franco Cervi, Pizzi and an own goal from Sardar Azmoun got the job done for Benfica, who finished third while Zenit, who had Douglas Santos sent off finished bottom of Group G.

Olympique Lyonnais 2-2 RB Leipzig

Olympique Lyonnais came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw against RB Leipzig at Groupama Stadium.

Emil Forsberg and Timo Werner gave Leipzig a 2-0 lead going to the break but Lyon mounted a comeback through Houssem Aouar and Memphis Depay.

The point was enough for Lyon to finish second in Group G with eight points, three points behind tale-topping Leipzig.
