Madrid Open aces three-year Lacoste footwear and apparel deal
The IMG-run Madrid Open has signed a three-year deal with Lacoste that designates the French fashion brand as the premier tennis tournament’s official footwear and apparel sponsor.

Under the new agreement, Lacoste will provide outfits for all line judges, on-court crew and tournament staff during the joint WTA and ATP Tour elite event.

Lacoste will also open two dedicated retail stores at the Madrid Open housing its ‘Fashion Sport’ collections. “The Mutua Madrid Open is a perfect embodiment of this evolution and stands out particularly for the way it combines daring, creativity, and performance,” said Catherine Spindler, deputy chief executive of Lacoste. “This flagship tournament is fully in line with Lacoste’s vision of tennis and fashion sport.”

Gérard Tsobanian, president and chief executive of the Madrid Open, added: “Our DNA has always been based on three pillars: youth, technology and innovation. Lacoste, an absolute reference in the world of fashion in general and sports in particular, shares with the Mutua Madrid Open the pursuit of these three goals.

“We are convinced that our partnership will take Lacoste and the Mutua Madrid Open to the next level.”
