Maradona Reacts To Ronaldinho Jail Scandal

With Ronaldinho's arrest in Paraguay last month shocking many, Argentina legend Diego Maradona has reacted to the former FC Barcelona superstar's jail scandal.
The 1986 FIFA World Cup winner had his fair share of run-ins with the law during his professional career, just as Ronaldinho has since his retirement from the game in 2018.
In a recent interview, Maradona was asked about the Brazilian's detainment in Paraguay's capital early last month after being within possession of a fake passport, and admitted that seeing what happened to Ronaldinho hurt him.
"What happened to Ronaldinho made me sad," he told Argentine outlet El Dia de La Plata.
"He is not a criminal; he only visited work (in Paraguay).
"His mistake has been an idol, it appears. He is my friend and I support him to the death."
Ronaldinho, who recently opened up about the problem he finds himself in, happens to be under house arrest in a hotel in Paraguay, and you will be before investigation is complete.
