Although Kartik Aaryan's Valentine's Day release 'Love Aaj Kal' didn't garner good reviews, his past struggles to have success can't be forgotten. The actor still believes that cinema isn't a mainstream job as the success rate is too low.

He recently revealed that he previously to hide his imagine becoming an actor from his parents."It had been much later when I acquired 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' that I called my mother and informed her that I wish to become an actor," recalls the 'Luka Chuppi' actor, adding that his parents would never have allowed him to pursue his dream. "Parents are right because just how many actors do you see working professionally? Hardly any. It is even more difficult for outsiders, so parents don't take film industry as a mainstream job. But my parents do now," he smiles.
