Mourinho Names World's Greatest Footballer, Snubs Messi
Jose Mourinho will not believe Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo should be considered the greatest footballer to play the game.

For days gone by decade, Messi and Ronaldo have already been the surface of the football world after battling it out for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

Messi has lifted six Ballon d'Or titles in his career compared to Ronaldo's five, but even those accolades don't make an impression on Mourinho who feels Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario is number 1.

The Brazilian is widely thought to be the best striker to play game and has accomplished a whole lot in his career, including winning the 2002 World Cup.

"Ronaldo, El Fenomeno. Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi have had longer careers, they have remained at the very top each day for 15 years," Mourinho told LiveScore.

"However, if we are talking strictly about talent and skill, nobody surpasses Ronaldo [Nazario]. When he was at Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realised that he was the best player I'd ever seen try the field.

"Injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible, however the talent that that 19-year-old boy had was something incredible."
