Nexon's 'Dungeon Fighter' World's 2nd Most Successful Game

Korean gaming giant Nexon's online game "Dungeon Fighter" ranked second in sales worldwide last year, according to a report released Sunday by Nielsen Media Research.
Developed by Nexon subsidiary Neople, "Dungeon Fighter" earned US$1.5 billion, trailing only "Fortnite" by Epic Games of the U.S. with $2.4 billion.
Launched in 2005, "Dungeon Fighter" is especially popular in China, with Neople earning royalties worth a reported W1 billion per year from Tencent, which markets it there.
Third in the ranks was Riot Games and Tencent's "League of Legends" with $1.4 billion, and fourth was "Pokemon GO" by Niantic of the U.S. with $1.3 billion.
