He starred in 1995's Leaving Las Vegas, where he embarked on a troubled love affair, and it seems that life has imitated art for Nicolas Cage.
The Con Air actor has filed for an annulment from his new wife, Erika Koike, just four days after the couple tied the knot in the Nevada city.
According to court documents, the 55-year-old star applied to dissolve his marriage to the makeup artist on Wednesday, claiming he was intoxicated and “lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage", Us Weekly reports.
The couple had applied for a wedding licence on Saturday, March 23, and wed the same day in the city that famously offers a quick turnaround for those looking to tie the knot.
This was the fourth wedding for Cage, who was previously married to actress Patricia Arquette, former waitress Alice Kim, and Lisa Marie Presley, the latter of whom he filed for divorce from after just 102 days.
Little is known about the Face/Off star and Koike's relationship, though the pair were pictured arguing during their short-lived marriage in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.
Father-of-two Cage also alleged in court documents that his new wife did not disclose “the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person".
The Oscar-winning actor, who is the nephew of film director Francis Ford Coppola, rose to fame in the 1980s with roles in films such as Moonstruck, Raising Arizona and Wild at Heart. He most recently starred in 2018 thriller Mandy, and voiced Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
