'No glam squad now': Why Uk TV hosts are doing their own make-up

With preventative measures in place around the environment to try and curb the coronavirus pandemic, many persons have found themselves working at home.
But there are a few people who cannot job in self-quarantine, but are also not deemed essential solutions that can go in to the office.
Among them are make-up artists: in the UK, several new displays and entertainment programmes remain filming, but with skeleton staff sole allowed in studios.
Thus, many of Britain's most well-known faces possess found themselves with a fresh title to add to their CV: wild hair and make-up.
Alex Jones, who also co-hosts the BBC's THE MAIN ONE Show, was among the TV presenters paying tribute with their loyal teams who have can no longer work in-house.
"We can't have any make-up artists any longer and it breaks my heart because after nearly a decade, we of girls are very close friends which is a game-changer for them financially," the Welsh presenter, 43, submitted on her Instagram Testimonies this week.
"Plus I'm terrible in doing make-up but #thistooshallpass, we'll come to be reunited soon and my deal with will be so grateful!" she added.
The star said that co-sponsor Chris Ramsey had also done his own make-up for the show.

Schofield, 57, shared a good video in his Instagram Stories of he and Willoughby, 39, prepping for broadcast on Monday, March 23.
"Good this is somewhat of an initial ... no glam squad nowadays, I've merely made myself up," said Schofield, before requesting his co-superstar, "do I look alright?"
“I think you appear to be you. Do I look like me?” Willoughby responded.
The pair also have practised social distancing on screen, standing two metres apart as the show airs.
During Monday's broadcast, guest Matthew Wright, a fellow presenter, revealed he'd also done his have make-up.
BBC news flash journalist Yalda Hakim was another presenter to pay tribute to the hair and make-up staff currently on self-isolation.
"Missing the amazing workforce who work tirelessly to create us look presentable in air. Flying solo nowadays - become kind as we try and figure this factor out," the Afghanistan-born presenter submitted on Twitter, alongside an image of her wrangling with a head of hair tool.
For different TV stars, the lockdown in Britain has led to a have to stock on on beauty essentials. Television set presenter and journalist Ranvir Singh revealed on Instagram that she was loading through to root concealer spray, with hairdressers around the UK shutting up shop.
Susanna Reid, who co-presents HELLO Britain, possesses been broadcasting from home as she remains in self-isolation, following a member of family developed a cough.
In a column for the Daily Mail, she revealed she was "stocking up on hair dye and root touch-up".
"I've likewise popped some extra spray tan on my delivery purchase."
