Official: Man City Sign Wonderkid Despite Lockdown
The majority of the world could possibly be facing a lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that has not stopped reigning Premier League champions Manchester City from signing a South American wonderkid.

On Saturday, Club Alianza Lima announced that an agreement have been reached with City over the signing of Kluiverth Aguilar, in what the club described as "the main transfer of Peruvian football to Europe recently".

The 16-year-old right-back joins City for an undisclosed cost and can remain with Alianza until he attains age majority in May 2021, after which time he'll officially join up along with his new teammates in Manchester.

Aguilar, who has already made nine senior club appearances and represented Peru's U23 team on three occasions, revealed his delight at sealing a proceed to the English giants.

"Likely to City is too large in my career, I am happy that the club noticed me," Aguilar told Alianza's official website about the transfer.

"This is a club with extraordinary players... My goal is to be a superb player in the first team. I am a fan of the team and I am proud to guard their colours. I am glad that this probability of emigrating to Europe occurs if you ask me as an Alianza player."

Should Aguillar break through at City, he'll become only the sixth Peruvian player to feature in the Premier League, after Diego Penny, Claudio Pizarro, Andre Carrillo, Herlyn Zuniga and Nolberto Solano.
