Official: Real Won't Play Home Games At Santiago Bernabeu
With the LaLiga campaign set to resume in a few days, it's been confirmed that Real Madrid will not play their home games at the Santiago Bernabeu since it is getting a futuristic facelift which will cost around $600 million.

Los Blancos will resume the 2019/20 campaign with two successive home fixtures, hosting Eibar on 14 June and Valencia on 18 June.

However, LaLiga has confirmed that the club will play their home games at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, which often hosts the club's reserve side.

Construction focus on the Santiago Bernabeu has already started and, with fans not being allowed in the stands, Los Blancos asked LaLiga if they could play their remaining games at the Valdebebas pitch.

The Spanish top flight has since granted Real permission to host their final six home matches - against Eibar, Valencia, Getafe, Mallorca, Deportivo Alaves and Villarreal - at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.

As a consequence, Los Blancos will now install new floodlights at their reserve team's ground, while advertising boards will also be set up.

However, the Spanish giants are reportedly planning to go back to the Santiago Bernabeu in October - which is earmarked for the start of the 2020/21 LaLiga campaign - and so are working on an idea to reintroduce a restricted number of fans in to the stands.

According to Marca, the proposal suggests that fans can watch from a third of the stadium in October before filling the entire stadium by January 2021.
