Pakistani police search for gang rape suspects as protests kept across country
Protests were held in a number of Pakistani cities for another time on Saturday (Sep 12) above the handling of a study in to the gang rape of a good mother travelling with her children on a good highway, as law enforcement said these were launching a good manhunt for the suspects.

The girl, who police say is in her early 30s, was driving later on Tuesday night beyond your eastern city of Lahore with her two children when her vehicle ran out of fuel.

She phoned police for help, but before they arrived two men took her and her children out of the vehicle at gunpoint and raped her beside the highway.

Inam Ghani, Inspector Basic of Punjab province, where in fact the incident occurred, told reporters on Saturday night time that police had discovered the two suspects through DNA tracing.

"I am hopeful very soon we will reach them and arrest them," he said.

But the protesters are not satisfied, and needed the sacking of the lead police investigator assigned to the case, Omar Sheikh, who has repeatedly described what he felt were mistakes created by the victim, such she must have taken a different, busier, highway, not travelled during the night, and made sure her vehicle had more than enough fuel.

In Islamabad, several 100 protesters gathered, lots of waved French flags, and other folks held signals saying "hang the rapists."

Hundreds, mostly ladies, also gathered found in Lahore, Karachi, and possibly the conservative northwestern city of Peshawar. "Shatter the silence, stop the violence," reading one placard in Peshawar.

Global rights watchdogs have remarked that Pakistan has not finished enough to stem violence against women, including ensuring perpetrators are placed accountable.

The attack has especially angered women who say public space in the ultra-conservative country had been limited. "And today the police are telling you that you are in charge of your own security," stated Yamna Rehman at the Islamabad protest.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media.
