PM Muhyiddin didn't breach quarantine to get cancer treatment in Singapore: Malaysia PMO
The Malaysian Primary Minister's Office (PMO) possesses refuted claims created by an online portal that Mr Muhyiddin Yassin breached his two-week house quarantine order by going abroad to get treatment for cancer. 

Describing Sarawak Report's article as "entirely baseless" and "malicious", the PMO stated in a statement on Tuesday (Jun 16) that the Primary Minister had strictly adhered to the typical operating procedures and did not leave his house during the quarantine period. 

“All official duties were conducted from your home including a video conference with Senior Minister of Defence and Director-Standard of Health,” the statement said.

The Primary Minister was located on a 14-day quarantine from May 22 as advised by the Ministry of Well being after an officer who attended a post-Cabinet meeting tested positive for COVID-19.

Mr Muhyiddin had on, may 28 denied with a Facebook post that he was in Singapore for treatment. 

The PMO said that the allegations created by Sarawak Record that Mr Muhyiddin had broken quarantine rules and flew overseas were merely "a fiction created by the writer".

“The writer and the Sarawak Report news portal should be held in charge of the false allegations hurled at the Primary Minister. The responsibility of proof can be on the writer to back again these frivolous claims about the private jet, hospital in Singapore and doctors as alleged," it stated in the statement. 

MUHYIDDIN IS MEDICALLY FIT TO HANDLE HIS DUTIES: PMO

Mr Muhyiddin was sworn found in as Malaysia's eighth primary minister on Mar 1, carrying out a week-long power tussle found in Putrajaya. 

Back in July 2018, Mr Muhyiddin, who was Home Affairs Minister found in the Pakatan Harapan government, continued leave to receive treatment for early condition pancreatic cancer. He underwent good surgery in Singapore. 

On Mr Muhydidin's current health conditions, the PMO said in its Tuesday assertion: " ... several medical specialists have confirmed that there surely is no evidence of cancer presently and there is no evidence of the recurring of the condition, and therefore the Primary Minister is medically suit to handle his duties."

According to two similar doctors' statements mounted on the PMO press release, Mr Muhyiddin had level 1A pancreatic cancer, which was diagnosed and fully treated in 2018. 

He had regular follow-ups at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Gleneagles Hospital Singapore and Mayo Clinic in america. 

“We will be of the view that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is fit in to serve the people and the nation. As medical professionals, we will be appalled at the false reporting that had no basis,” the doctors explained.
