Chinese real estate giant Country Garden has taken another significant step into the robot industry — its wholly owned subsidiary, Bo Zhilin Robot, has officially launched the ambitious Robot Valley project, Yicai.com reported.
Shen Gang, vice president of Country Garden Group and president of Bozhilin Robot, said that Bo Zhilin Robot will build a “robot valley” of 10 square kilometers in Shunde city in Guangdong province.
Yang Guoqiang, the chairman of Country Garden, said the company plans to invest at least 80 billion yuan in the field of robotics within five years to make robots more widely used in different scenarios.
According to the plan, Bozhilin’s robotic products aims to enter the areas of construction, decoration, robotic restaurants, smart home, modern agriculture, medical, intelligent manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.
It is worth mentioning that the robot valley is located in Shunde, the core hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, which is expected to be the fourth international bay area of the future.
