Report: Ronaldo Sends A Message To Ole
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer how to get the best out of him at Manchester United amid a frustrating run of performances.

Despite the Portuguese scoring a late winner in his side's 2-1 victory over Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, he has cut a disappointed figure at times in recent weeks.

United have come under criticism for their displays against Young Boys and Aston Villa, both games from which they walked away without a single point, with the team's midfield, in particular, being singled out as a problem area.

The 20-time English champions produced another underwhelming performance against Unai Emery's Villarreal this week, in which Scott McTominay started alone in a defensive-midfield role.

The likes of the Scotsman and Fred have been lambasted for how slow the ball has passed around in midfield, little more than a month after supporters called for Solskjaer and the club to sign a specialised holding midfielder who can progress the ball from deep.

It is a frustration Ronaldo seems to share, with ESPN reporting that the 36-year-old has told his manager that the ball must be moved at a quicker tempo in the opposition half.

Against the Spanish side, the former Real Madrid talisman had just three shots, while he managed just one shot in 90 minutes in the Red Devils' Premier League defeat to Villa last weekend.

Although he might feel he could do with more service, Ronaldo has found the back five times in the five matches he has played since returning to United.

The Manchester club will host Rafael Benitez's Everton in the Premier League early on Saturday.
