Ruthless England Qualify For World Cup With 10-0 Win

San Marino 0-10 England
England qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup set for Qatar following a commanding 10-0 victory over a ten-man San Marino on Monday.
The Three Lions entered the match needing just a win after a 5-0 triumph over Albania with San Marino bottom of Group I with no wins and losses all round.
Harry Maguire opened proceedings again before two goals from the penalty spot and two other strikes from Harry Kane coupled with an own-goal from Filippo Fabbri give England a healthy start.
Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe, who debuted against Albania, scored his first international goal with Tyrone Mings, Tammy Abraham and Bukayo Saka adding to the equation.
San Marino did finish the rest of the match with a reduced number of players as Dante Rossi earned his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Italy
Italy lost out on automatic qualification to the finals from Group C after battling to a goalless draw away to the Northern Ireland in Belfast.
The Azzurri needed a win to obtain top spot in the group after their 1-1 draw against Switzerland on Friday, but will now have to go the hard route of a playoffs to have any chance of entering the finals.
Northern Ireland, who had no chance of qualifying automatically nor for the playoffs, end their qualifying journey in third spot in the group.
Scotland 2-0 Denmark
Scotland entered into the World Cup play-offs this after picking up a 2-0 win over Denmark in Group F at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
This followed the Scots latest clash away to Moldova which they edged 2-0 as well, and a header in the first half from Harry Souttar was complemented by Che Adams this time around.
It is Denmark’s first loss in the group as they already sealed qualification to the finals a while ago, whilst the Scots enter the playoff route.
Poland 1-2 Hungary
Poland completed their qualification campaign in Group I on a disappointing note following a 2-1 loss at home to Hungary.
The visitors snatched the lead late in the first half through Andras Schafer and while Karol Swiderski levelled it up, Daniel Gazdag snatched the winner for Hungary.
This victory ensured that Hungary end their qualifying journey third in the group, as the Poles enter the play-off rounds on the back of their second spot finish.
