Samsung Claws Back Top Spot in Indian Smartphone Market

Samsung has regained the top spot in the Indian smartphone market due mainly to a border dispute between India and China that weakened its rivals there.
According to advertise watcher Counterpoint Research on Tuesday, Samsung topped the marketplace with a 26 percent share in August, two percentage points ahead of China's Xiaomi.
Samsung overtook Xiaomi in June for the very first time in 3 years after it lost the top spot to the Chinese company in September 2017.
Last June, skirmishes between Indian and Chinese border guards escalated into a conflict between your two countries and Indians have been boycotting Chinese products, which benefitted Samsung.
The Indian government also banned the consumption of TikTok and other Chinese apps, and Chinese smartphone outlets cancelled product launches.
