Samsung Opens Webpage for Workers' Grievances
27 February, 2021
Samsung Electronics has opened an anonymous blog on its intranet where management can answer complaints.
The move is section of the electronic giant's try to communicate better with millennials on its staff who expect a more open workplace culture than older salarymen.
Complaints or ideas drawing "likes" from a lot more than 5,000 staff within per month should be answered by senior administration. The measure is comparable to petitions submitted on the presidential office's website.
More than 20 posts were put up found in the month because the site opened, and one of them, a security complaint, was answered by an executive in Wednesday.
"The goal is to listen to what millennial employees need to say, since persons from that generation aren't hesitant about voicing their views," a staffer said. "Actually if a post does not draw support from more than 5,000 employees, we plan to respond whether it's important."
But given that some 100,900 people work for the company in Korea alone, the number of posts is small.
Other Samsung affiliates did the same. Samsung Electro-Mechanics opened a similar site last year.
