Shashthi moments at Dhakeshwari
The biggest religious festival of the Bangali Hindu community, Durga Puja, commenced on Shashthi Tithy on Monday across the country.

Kalmparambha, Bodhon and Adhibas are among the welcoming rituals for the biggest Bangali Hindu festival.The festivities began with the early morning ritual of Kalparambha, the devotees’ resolution to observe the whole ceremony sound.

Devotees in Adhibas and Bodhon Amantron at Dhakewshari temple in Dhaka on 15 October.Devotees blew conch shells (shankha) and beat drums at different mandaps in the city during the occasion.

Flowers and bel leaves distributed among devotees for using as offerings.With Shashthi, the aura of the colourful festival is set for the next three days of Mahasaptami, Mahahtami and Mahanabami till the immersion of the idol of Durga.
