Spurs Silence Rivals Arsenal To Reclaim Major Spot
Premier League
Result: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Arsenal
Date: 06 December 2020
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur claimed the bragging rights in the North London derby with a good 2-0 triumph over Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute. They snapped into a quick counter-assault as Harry Kane slipped Son Heung-Min in down the kept flank and the attacker ran at the backtracking Arsenal defence before whipping a brilliant effort into the top ideal corner from 30 yards.

In the primary minute of first-half stoppage time, Tottenham hit Arsenal with another razor-sharp counter-attack as Son led a three-on-two before drawing a defender in and participating in Kane through on goal, where in fact the striker thumped an angled end the bar and in.

The Gunners suffered problems for insult when Thomas Partey was replaced by Dani Ceballos after pulling up during the move for Kane's objective.

Five minutes after the interval, Kieran Tierney billed forward from the back and whipped on a harmful cross that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang steered beyond Hugo Lloris but just above the bar.

In the 68th minute, Hector Bellerin swung in just one more cross for the away side and Alexandre Lacazette glanced it on at the near post, forcing Lloris right into a scrambling save to parry it wide of the far corner.

Despite Arsenal getting the overwhelming most possession and throwing many crosses into the Tottenham area in the next one half, Spurs rarely looked troubled as they closed out the overall game in comfortable vogue to record their 5th clean sheet in 6 games.
